Why certify

A community platform is only as strong as the person running it.

The same set of features can produce a thriving community or a quiet one, depending on who is at the controls. Knowing where the moderation queue lives, how a paywall tier gates a single forum, when to reach for an automation rule instead of doing the work by hand: that operational knowledge is what separates a platform that runs itself from one that runs you ragged. The Mobieus Certified Professional program puts a name to that knowledge and a credential behind it.

It is the official certification for the Mobieus platform, and it covers four things across every product in the suite: how to administer it, how to moderate it, how to configure it, and how to use it. Pass the exam and you have verifiable, shareable proof that you can run a Mobieus community end to end.

What it covers

Every product, four ways.

Mobieus is a suite, not a single app, and the certification reflects that. The curriculum runs a module for each product, plus a foundations module on roles, permissions, and how the pieces fit together:

AreaWhat you are tested on
FoundationsThe role model, tenant-admin scope, and how a feature's settings change what members see
mobieusCoreForums, the social graph, and the full moderation workflow
mobieusHelpHelp-desk queues, SLAs, automation rules, and the agent workspace

API & identityAPI keys, signed webhooks, and single sign-on

Where a product has a real moderation story, the exam tests it. Where it does not, it does not pretend otherwise. Every question is written against how the platform actually behaves, not a glossy summary of it.

The exam

100 questions, a fresh draw every attempt.

The final exam is 100 questions, weighted toward the products with the largest surface area, and you need 80 to pass. It is not a fixed sheet you can memorize and pass around. Each attempt pulls its questions at random from a much larger bank, in a shuffled order, so no two sittings look alike. That per-attempt random draw is itself a mobieusLearn capability, described in the assessments deep dive.

Most questions are application and analysis rather than trivia. You get a situation ("a report meets this condition; what is the proportionate action?") and choose what an operator would actually do. You get three attempts, each with its own fresh draw.

The credential

A badge and a certificate that travel with you.

Pass, and the program issues two things automatically. The first is an Open Badges 3.0 credential, the current standard for portable, cryptographically verifiable digital badges. Anyone can confirm it at its verification URL without an account, and you can publish it to LinkedIn or link it from a resume. The second is a branded certificate for the human-readable record. Both are tied to your identity, not locked inside a platform you would have to be available to vouch for.

How it was built

Taught from the product, not around it.

Every lesson and every exam question is grounded in two sources: the live product and its documentation. When the two disagreed, the product won. Nothing in the program describes a setting that does not exist or a workflow the platform does not support.

The instructional design is real, not decorative. Objectives are written to be measurable, each lesson follows a consistent teaching structure, and the exam is built so that what gets tested traces back to what gets taught. The program is sized at roughly 40 hours of focused study, weighted toward the products with the most to learn rather than split evenly. It runs on mobieusLearn, the platform's own learning system, which is the same toolset any operator can use to build a certification of their own.

Who it is for

Operators, moderators, and the people who hire them.

If you run a Mobieus community, the certification is a structured way to close the gaps in what you know and prove the rest. If you moderate or administer one as part of a team, it is a credential for your profile. If you are an agency or a freelancer who stands up communities for clients, it is third-party proof you know the platform cold. And if you are hiring for any of those roles, "Mobieus Certified Professional" is a line on a resume you can actually verify.

FAQ.

What do I need to pass?

A score of 80 out of 100 on the final exam. You get three attempts, and each one draws a different randomized set of questions, so a retake is a genuinely fresh exam rather than the same sheet again.

Is the badge usable outside Mobieus?

Yes. It is an Open Badges 3.0 credential, a self-contained verifiable document. You can share it on LinkedIn, link its verification URL in a job application, or send it to anyone who needs to confirm it, all without a Mobieus account on their end.

How current is the material?

It is written against the live platform and kept in step with it. When a product's behavior changes, the affected lessons and questions are updated, so what you study matches what you will actually operate.
