A seller lists a $400 board on a Saturday morning. The buyer is a verified member with a six-month posting history and a green badge on their handle. The buyer messages, asks two questions, sends payment, picks the board up Sunday. No drama. mobieusVerified is the badge that gets that interaction past the trust friction it would have on Facebook Marketplace. $5 a month per verified member, on every Mobieus tier.
What members do
Driver license, state ID, passport, or national ID. Members upload the front (and back where applicable) plus a short selfie video confirming liveness. Documents are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and never appear in admin email or audit log payloads.
Members confirm their email address through a token link before the submission flow opens. Cuts noise in the review queue and binds the verification to a real inbox.
$5/month per verified member, paid through Stripe Checkout. Cancel from the member profile any time. Mobieus is the merchant of record for this subscription, not the tenant.
The verification badge renders next to the member's handle across forums, threads, the marketplace, mobieusChat, and DMs. Hover or tap reveals the verification date.
What admins do
The review surface shows the submitted ID and the selfie video next to each other. Legal name, claimed user, submission timestamp, and IP all visible. Approve, reject, or revoke from the same view.
Every approve / reject / revoke writes a row to verification_audit_log. Decision reason captured. Cross-tenant search of verifications is read-only and separately audited.
If a member's behavior later contradicts their verification (impersonation, account sharing, transferred ownership), an admin can revoke the badge in one click. Reason required. The subscription is cancelled in the same flow.
Approved verifications keep the encrypted document only as long as the platform requires for audit. A scheduled job purges expired documents from disk; the audit log row stays.
Where the badge shows up
Every listing carries the seller's verification status. Buyers filter for verified sellers. Reputation scores weight verified-seller trades more heavily than unverified ones.
Username + green badge appears on every post and reply by a verified member. New members can tell at a glance whether a contributor has been verified by your community's admins.
The badge renders inline next to the handle in every chat message. Verified members are visible in the watchers list too.
In a 1:1 or group DM, the verification badge appears in the conversation header so members know exactly who they are talking to.
Tier policy
mobieusVerified is a per-member add-on, not a tier feature. Every Mobieus tenant can offer it. The $5/month subscription is between Mobieus and the verifying member; the tenant doesn't bill for it.
Up to 250 members. mobieusVerified available to any member who wants the badge.
Pro — $99/moUp to 1,000 members. Verified sellers in the marketplace get reputation weight.
Creator — $199/moUp to 5,000 members. AI Community Manager + verified-seller signals + everything else.
Sovereign — $2,500/moDedicated server, SSO, audit logs, plus member verification.
Honest disclaimer
That a real person submitted a real government ID and a selfie that an admin reviewed and approved. The badge means a human in your community has put their actual identity on the line.
That every transaction with a verified member will be honest. That the verified member's account hasn't been compromised since approval. That a verified seller's listing matches the goods they'll ship. Use it as a trust signal, not as escrow or insurance.
For trades between members, Stripe runs the transaction. Mobieus does not guarantee, insure, or escrow any payment. mobieusVerified reduces risk by raising the bar on identity; it doesn't eliminate it.
