Trust is the hardest thing to build in online communities.

You cannot tell who is real. Sock puppets, impersonators, and bad-faith accounts erode trust faster than good content builds it. Moderators spend hours reviewing the same contributor across multiple communities, with no shared signal of legitimacy.

mobieusVerified solves this at the identity layer. Because the badge is tied to your mobieusID (the single sign-on identity behind every Mobieus community), verification happens once and applies everywhere. Community operators do not need to build their own trust systems. Members do not need to re-prove themselves on each new community they join.

The subscription is simple. You pay $5/month through Stripe. In return, you get three things.

Blue checkmark badge

A blue checkmark appears next to your username on every Mobieus community where you have an account. The badge renders via a cross-tenant API: each community checks your verification status against the platform, cached for 1 hour. If you join a new community tomorrow, the badge is already there.

Cross-tenant trust

The badge is tied to your mobieusID, not to a specific community. Community operators can see which of their members are verified. This carries weight in paid communities and marketplaces, where knowing a member is a real, verified person changes the dynamic of every interaction.

Instant trusted contributor in mobieusKnow

Unverified members who edit the community knowledge base go through a moderation queue. Verified members skip it. Your edits publish directly. This rewards the people who have proven their identity with faster, friction-free contributions to shared knowledge.

How verification works

The process takes about 5 minutes on your end. The review typically completes within 24 hours.

Step 1: Start from your account settings

Go to your account settings and click "Get verified." This opens the verification flow.

Step 2: Upload your ID

Upload a government-issued photo ID. Accepted documents include a driver's license, passport, or national ID card.

Step 3: Secure storage

Your documents are encrypted with AES-256-GCM before storage. They are stored separately from community data. Only the platform verification review team can decrypt and view them.

Step 4: Team review

The Mobieus team reviews your submission. Most reviews complete within 24 hours. You receive a notification when your status changes.

Step 5: Badge goes live

Once approved, your blue checkmark appears immediately across every Mobieus community where you have an account. No action needed on your part.

Billing and cancellation

The subscription renews monthly at $5. If you cancel, the badge stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, the badge is removed and your moderation queue exemption in mobieusKnow reverts to standard behavior.

Security and privacy

Identity documents are sensitive. The verification system is designed with that in mind.

• AES-256-GCM encryption at rest. Documents are encrypted before they touch storage.
• Access restricted to the verification review team. No community operator, moderator, or other member can view your documents.
• Separate storage. Documents live in a dedicated, isolated store. They are not mixed with community data, user content, or backups.
• No ongoing access required. After verification, the team does not need to view your documents again for normal operation.
• Deletion on request. You can request that your documents be permanently deleted after your verification is approved.

What community operators see

If you run a Mobieus community, mobieusVerified gives you a built-in trust signal without any setup on your part.

• Verified member indicator. A blue checkmark appears next to verified members in your community's member list, forum posts, and profiles.
• No configuration needed. The badge renders automatically. You do not need to enable, configure, or manage anything.
• Reduced moderation load. In mobieusKnow, verified members publish edits directly. Fewer items in your moderation queue means less work for your team.
• Impersonation deterrent. When real members carry a visible trust badge, impersonation attempts are easier to spot and report.

How it works under the hood

Platform admins manage the verification queue at admin.mobieus.io. Each submission shows the user's information, uploaded documents, and submission date. Admins approve or reject with a reason attached.

Verification status is exposed cross-tenant through the platform admin API. When a community page renders a username, it checks the verification status via a cached API call (1-hour TTL). This means the badge is consistent across every surface without each community needing its own verification database.

The $5/month subscription is a Mobieus platform subscription, not a tenant subscription. Revenue goes to Mobieus Partners LLC to fund the verification review process.
