Server Boosts: When Members Boost Your Community, Your Bill Goes Down

Community levels everyone shares
Total active boosts unlock levels for your whole community, and the perks at each level apply to every member, not only the people boosting. The levels build on each other, so a community at the top tier carries everything from the levels below it.
At Level 1 (5 active boosts), every member gets higher default upload limits and the community gains additional emoji slots. People get more room without paying anything themselves. Level 2 (15 active boosts) raises audio and video quality defaults across the community, pushes upload limits higher again, and adds more emoji slots on top. Level 3 (30 active boosts) extends message history for every member, maxes out upload limits and emoji capacity, and sets audio and video quality to its highest defaults.
The point of the level system is that boosting lifts the whole room. A handful of your most engaged members can raise the experience for everyone else, and nobody outside that group has to spend a cent to benefit.
Perks for the members who boost
Members who boost also get personal perks layered on top of the community-wide benefits. These are deliberately cosmetic. They don't gate anything your community needs to function, and your community works fully whether or not a single member ever boosts.
- Booster badge. A visible badge next to the member's username everywhere in the community.
- Cosmetic chat styles. Frost glass, hologram, neon glow, and other visual treatments for their chat messages.
- Higher file upload limits. Scaled to the boost tier, with Tier 3 boosters getting the highest individual limits.
- Cosmetic marketplace discount. A percentage off cosmetic items in the community marketplace.
- Booster-only areas. If you configure booster-restricted channels or sections, boosters get automatic access.
You can see exactly where the money goes
